God wants intercessors! (Sunday Homily 475: 29th Sunday in Ordinary Time)

If God already knows what is good for us, why do we need to ask, and even be persistent? What is the meaning of "pray always, and never give up"? Just as almighty God wanted to rely on the supplication of Moses, Aaron, and Ur to give the people of Israel victory over the Amalekites, today, too, it is through the intercession of Our Lord and his priests that the Church obtains and will obtain victory over her enemies.
