The game is a standalone sequel to Lego Batman: The Videogame and the second one in the Lego Batman series. The storyline follows Batman and Robin as they try to foil the Joker and Lex Luthor's plan to have the latter become President, joining forces with the Justice League along the way. As such, the game's cast is larger than its predecessor and includes characters outside of the classic Batman stories.
