It's day 60, and we're looking back at Super Mario Wonder, which I consider one of the best games in the Switch library and, for me, one of the best games of 2023, the best 2D platformer since Rayman Legends and Sonic Mania! Frankly, I never expected this game to be this good or to have this much fun with it, but I truly experienced the Nintendo magic for the second time in 2023. For the first time in years, I was able to experience the joy I felt when I first played Rayman Legends in a 2D platformer. Just like that game, the mechanics in Wonder change every minute, constantly renewing itself. With its creative level designs, the game constantly offers different things to the player, maintaining a wonderful pace. Furthermore, tons of new mechanics have been added to the game, with badges you can choose before entering a level. From Rayman-like gliding moves, Spiderman-like grappling hook moves, faster swimming moves, to dash moves, the list is extensive, and each one is more enjoyable than the last. It was also incredibly helpful to be able to help me choose the most suitable game for the level before starting it. This way, we can try out every feature. 2D platformers are my favorite game genre after 3D ones, and Mario Wonder is currently one of the best games in the genre. I think this game is absolutely fantastic, full of action, never boring, and incredibly fluid. I think everyone, from 7 to 70, can enjoy it. If you own a Switch, it's definitely a must-have in your library!
