Bebop Rhythmic Words 1&2: Easy Jazz Piano Improvisation through Rhythm. #jazzpianolessons

Welcome to our jazz improvisation series where we delve into the heart and soul of bebop. In this episode, we shift our focus to the crucial role of rhythm in improvisation. Join us as we explore two different, yet related, rhythmic words and their application in bebop improvisation. In this episode, we focus on two rhythmic words and their alignment with a walking bass-line played using half notes. This dual-handed approach enables you to grasp the downbeat with your left hand and develop a sense of placement with your right hand. To put these concepts into practice, we encourage you to choose a jazz standard or a section, such as the A section of "Afternoon in Paris." Start by playing the melody alongside the bass, and then integrate word 1 and word 2 into the chord progression. ➡️ The supplementary pdf with the sheet music (including annotations) will be available for our "exclusive access" members here on YouTube.
