A book society holds two discussion sessions each summer. The discussion leader of the societyis selecting two Sets of books—Set 1 and Set 2—for the sessions. She is choosing from sevenbooks—F, G, H, I, J, K, and L. Set 1 will contain four of the books and Set 2 will contain theother three books. The leader must select the books for each Set according to the followingrestrictions: 1. F cannot be in the same Set as G. 2. If J is in Set 2, L must also be in Set 2. 3. If L is in Set 1, I must also be in Set 1. All mails in a large province are transmitted by means of a mail network that connects eight cities—F, G, H, I, J, K, L, and M. All of the connections are two-way, so that mails can be sent back and forth between any two connected cities. Any given mail enters and leaves a given city at most once. The cities are connected only in the following way: Government College is selecting a four person debate team. There are seven candidates of equal ability X, Y and Z who attended the science block course and L,M,N and P who attended the commerce block courses. The team must have two members from each block. Also, the members must be able to work with all the other members of the team. Note that debaters Y and L, Z and N, L and M are incompatible pairs Exactly six workers F, G, H, I, J, and K— take turns watching a vehicle.
