UPDATE My DIY Aquaponics Aquarium Project 6 Month Update & Tank Cleaning With DIY Bottle Filter

What I've learned after a 6 month trial of my floating raft aquaponics system in a 10 gallon aquarium with goldfish. I let this system pretty much run itself for 6 months with little to no maintenance other than feeding the fish daily. See how I made a very effective filter system from a water bottle and a head pump that got the tank from filthy to 90% clean in less than 2 hours. I've learned that goldfish like to eat roots as many of you commented. That tends to put smaller plants like the basil etc under stress and make them more susceptible to disease and failing to thrive. So on my next system if I use goldfish, I will have the plants separated from the fish. The avocado seeds did the best of all in this system. I plan to transfer those to dutch buckets soon that will be attached to my larger system in an up and coming video.
