A video series designed to combat the fake news and misinformation out there about COVID-19 and the vaccines. With access to a wealth of scientific and medical experts, DIPLOMICS has created a set of visual resources to be shared amongst the general public, in four of South Africa's main languages - English, isiZulu, isiXhosa and Afrikaans. Episode 8 we explore the myth that once someone has been vaccinated they can’t catch COVID-19. This belief that the vaccine is somehow a “silver bullet” is incorrect and it is important that vaccinated people continue to follow the necessary prevention measures such as social distancing, washing of hands and mask wearing to keep themselves and those around them safe. The vaccines play a crucial part in our fight against the pandemic, but they need to be used in conjunction with the other safety measures out there.
