Labour MP: "We will never solve antisemitism in the party with Jeremy Corbyn as leader"

Labour has failed to address antisemitism in its ranks and needs to act much more quickly on the issue, the shop steward of the party's MPs said. John Cryer, chairman of the Parliamentary Labour Party, said procedures had improved under general secretary Jennie Formby but not all antisemites were being kicked out. The MP also called for "tolerance" of divergent views at the top of the party, suggesting that while Jeremy Corbyn accepted differences of opinions, others around him did not. Mr Cryer also said there was "a lot of worry" among Labour MPs about trigger ballots and possible deselections. Wes Streeting, Labour MP for Ilford North, talks to Julia Hartey-Brewer after he said he would break Parliamentary privilege so that members of the party could speak out.
