Time to do away with work practices that belong in Mad Men episodes: Obama

Addressing America on workplace policies and leave policies, a boisterous Barack Obama said that 'A mother deserves a day off to look after her sick child'. His comic streak, a trait that has endeared him to a large section of the American populace, was on display as he made a reference to one of the most popular TV shows in America, 'Mad Men' saying that some absurd work policies that presently existed in the country had no place in reality but in the episodes of that sitcom. Stressing on the need for improving conditions of women in workplaces, both in terms of wages and also in terms of the congenial conditions that need to provided to her, he said - "When the women of America are happy, America is happy."
