'Meltdown' Takes Viewers to Greenland Ice Sheet As It Melts

Her latest trip was documented in the film ‘Meltdown,’ where she visited with climate scientist Tony Leiserowitz to observe and discuss the effects of climate change from what they call ‘ground zero’ of the climate crisis. Greenland is home to the second largest ice body in the world. Rising global temperatures are melting this ice sheet, causing a loss of 3.8 trillion tons of ice between 1992 and 2018 and making it the greatest single contributor to global sea level rise.
