Silent Hill 2 - Laura Plays the Piano [Ambient Guitar / Synth Cover]

My Ambient Guitar / Synth cover of the Laura Plays the Piano theme from Silent Hill 2! (This is a Re-Upload. Youtube forced my previous upload into the shorts tab. So I put together a 4:3 version of this video to keep it with all my other covers.) Recently played Silent Hill 2 again (the OG). Incredible piece of Art all around. I haven't played the remake but I've heard and seen great things. Covering tracks from Silent Hill 2 is an interesting experience. Where most VGM has parts that correspond to an instrument. A lot of the parts in Silent Hill 2 songs are sample based. So I'm just using my ear to pick out notes I can hear, and then tweaking the synths to evoke the same feeling as the original sample. But if I get too close to the original it feels more like a recreation than a cover. I think I hit a nice balance with this one. Although I noticed after finishing the cover; I added 2 extra notes to the main part of this song. Listening back to the original I guess I heard like phantom notes or something lol... I made some more models again, lemme know what you think of "Plushie James" and "Cocktail Weenie Lying Figure" 🙂 oh also I filmed in vertical for the first time in a while for a main vid. Just wanted to change it up.
