The Last of Us Part II is an action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. Set five years after the events of The Last of Us (2013), players enter the role of 19-year-old Ellie, who comes into conflict with a mysterious cult in a post-apocalyptic United States. The game contains survival horror elements and is played from the third-person perspective. Players can use firearms, improvised weapons, and stealth to defend against enemies and cannibalistic creatures infected by a mutated strain of the Cordyceps fungus. Four years has passed since Joel has saved Ellie from the Fireflies. They now live together with a community in Wyoming. Now 19 years old, Ellie and her girlfriend Dina go on a patrol to carry supplies during the winter. A storm occurs, and the two are forced to rest, where they also have sex; meanwhile, Joel and Tommy, also on a patrol, save a woman named Abby, living on the Baldwin mansion. There, Joel and Tommy are trapped by the WLF Soldiers and Joel is beaten to death, all witnessed by Ellie.
