The Dark Origin of Valentines Day (Lupercalia)

The Dark Origin of Valentines Day (Lupercalia)

So this is love, huh? šŸ˜ These people are sick and if you learn this and you still participate , you are sick as well . BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! Valentine’s Day gets it’s name from a Roman priest called Valentine, who was performing secret marriages so young men didn’t have to go to war (married men who were drafted at that time didn’t have to go to war) When he was caught, he was sent to prison to be beheaded by the CHURCH for his crimes. While in prison awaiting his fate he fell in love with a servant girl, they passed notes to each other and he would sign ā€œFrom your Valentineā€. So they cut his head off and then just slapped his name on the holiday. As the years went on, Shakespeare dressed it up, made it look pretty it in his work, and it gained popularity throughout Britain and the rest of Europe. Handmade paper cards became the tokens du jour in the Middle Ages. Eventually, the tradition made its way to the New World. The Industrial Revolution ushered in factory-made cards in the 19th century. And in 1913, Hallmark Cards of Kansas City, Mo., began mass-producing valentines. And now it’s a day where the government makes billions of dollars off of your ignorance . The End ā¤ļø #valentinesday #paganism #lupercalia
