Estimated difficulty is only a 2 out of 5 in my opinion and it should only take you about 45 minutes. For this installation you will need a 10mm socket, 8mm socket, ratchet with extensions, T10 and T15 Torx with driver, 3mm and 4mm Allen keys, an adjustable wrench, flathead screwdriver, scissors to trim off the excess rubber trim, and gloves if you prefer to keep your hands clean. 08418 coupler goes on the filter side. 08497 goes on the elbow if you have the 5.3 L engine. 08418 goes on the elbow if you have the 6.2 L engine. K&N claim a horsepower boost of around 10. I’ve noticed slightly better fuel economy, snappier throttle response, and more of a growl from the exhaust.
