Hull Community Iftar 2025 - The Guildhall Hull

A behind the scenes video made by one of our volunteers of Hull's first ever Civic Community Iftar held in collaboration with ‪@hullcitycouncil‬ and partners CRT and ‪@IslamicReliefUK‬ on Sunday 16th March 2025 Over 300 people from all walks of life came together for this unique opportunity at the historic Guildhall and heard from a variety of speakers and young performers, observed the breaking of the daily fast, experienced and the adhan (call to prayer) and observed congregational evening prayers being performed and finished of with a traditional hot meal. The vibe was warm, full of smiles and local people, business leaders, council leaders, the Lord Mayor and councillors from all backgrounds connected. An amazing evening that meant a lot to so many people and massive credit to the team of 20+ volunteers did an amazing job on the evening, the caterers and all the organisers.
