In my youth I listened a lot to a Germany punk rock band called "Die Ärzte" (‪@bademeisterTV‬) and especially enjoyed their funny songs. Around that time I got to watch "Amish Paradise" by ‪@alyankovic‬ and was amazed by the production value of the music video for such a non-serious track. It took some time and good access to the internet before I was able to go down his rabbit hole. Later I stumbled upon ‪@thelonelyisland‬, which took the formula one step further by not only having funny, high quality video clips but also very good original songs. And only a few years ago I discovered ‪@ElectricCallboy‬ and directly got the vibe of Lonely Island but enhanced by a spice of metal. When Electric Callboy released their latest music video "Elevator Operator" one part instantly reminded me of a Lonely Island SNL short and I had the urge to combine both.
