2069.us Episode 2
In episode two, we try to actually start the van, and Bruce from Mello Motors lends a helping hand. This 1969 Volkswagen van will hopefully last until the year 2069. Background: My name is Todd Kelsey, author of the book Social Networking Spaces. (See http://tinyurl.com/snspacesbook). The book has a theme of encouraging people to gather life stories and share them on social networks. 2069 is an example project, which hopefully will inspire people to make, gather and share their own stories. This section on YouTube includes some video clips of the 2069 project. 2069 is an adventure I'm going on to try to live until the year 2069. I am fixing up a Volkswagen van from 1969, and hoping that both the van and myself can make it until 2069. My goal is to show up at the 100th anniversary of woodstock and play Hendrix' version of the National Anthem. Part of the idea of the project is to take a look at sustainable health - that is, what kind of changes I have to make in my life and habits, in order to be healthier, and have a better chance of living longer. And over time, I'll be looking at how to take care of the van, too. At some point it will probably need to be converted to run on electricity, or some other form of alternative fuel. Fossil fuels will probably run out before 2069. Here's to long life! So I invite you to join me on the adventure. I'll post videos once in awhile, and there is a blog at http://www.2069.us. -- My name is Todd Kelsey, author of the book Social Networking Spaces.
