Furniture Makeover: Trash to Treasure Drop Leaf Table with IOD Transfers & Stamps
Don't get intimidated by big furniture pieces at thrift stores! YOU CAN MAKE THEM BEAUTIFUL with Iron Orchid Designs! See just how easy it is in this painted table makeover where a plain, old drop-leaf table is transformed with some IOD stamps and furniture transfers. In this edited Facebook Live tutorial by IOD stockists (and mother-daughter duo) Robin and Crissy of Bird's Nest Gifts & Antiques in Bryant, TX, they pre-prepped the table with a coat of antique white paint. Using china blue chalk-style paint, they stamped the top to make it look like old European tile. Then they rubbed on handpainted lemons with luscious green leaves and little white blossoms for a pop of color. If you love the yellow and blue decor combo - you're gonna love this trash to treasure look inspired by old china plates. This technique with the Cubano stamp can also be used to make cheap tile look expensive - whether it's on a floor (hello, paint your laminate or vinyl floor and stamp) or you want to update an outdated tile backsplash. There are just so many possibilities! (To see it on a floor, check out this video: • IOD Decor Stamped™ Tile Entry Makeover us...
