The Wolf Among Us Episode 4: In Sheep's Clothing [Part 2/2]
Bigby enters Lucky Pawn shop just in time to see Woodsman and Jersey starting to fight, separating the two before Jersey, aware that Bigby will come due to his previous visit to Cut Above, starts mocking him for failing to prevent Faith's and Lily's deaths, provoking Bigby to punch him and in effect, leading to a brawl during which Jersey assumes his real form. As Bigby and Jersey Devil fight, Woodsman finds his axe placed in the locker behind the pawn shop counter which was broken open after Bigby hurled Jersey into it during their brawl. Eventually, Bigby rips Jersey's antlers off his head and stabs him with them before Woodsman joins in and helps Bigby by forcing his axe through Jersey's head, injuring him and leaving him unable to keep on fighting. Bigby proceeds to angrily interrogate downed cryptid about the location of the magic mirror shard stolen by Crane and is shown to the same locker where Woodsman's axe was kept after being brought in by Bloody Mary. There, Bigby finds Crane's coat in whose pockets he finds a roll of dollar bills, small photograph of Snow White and finally, a mirror glass shard. As he prepares to leave the pawn shop with Woodsman, he is stopped by Jersey who taunts Bigby further by claiming that he will never find Crooked Man since the entrance of his lair constantly changes location, that both Faith and Lily were killed on Crooked Man's direct order and that Bigby cannot hope to win since New York City is fully in his grip. As they leave the pawn shop, Bigby and Woodsman smoke together before going their separate ways as Bigby takes a cab back to Woodlands in order to deliver the mirror shard to Snow and Bufkin. Once he gets there, he finds Bluebeard and Toad arguing with Snow White about their respective issues; Toad about his apartment building and personal car remaining damaged after Bigby's fight with Woodsman several days prior and Bluebeard about the effects Crane's years of money embezzlement had on not only Fabletown's coffers but also his own due to him being a contributor to the community through business office. However, as both try to talk to Bigby, he ignores them in order to hand the missing mirror shard to Bufkin. Afterwards, he goes over to Toad and offers him the money he took from Crane's coat, urging him to use it to get himself a glamour to save himself from going to The Farm. However, another problem arises as Bufkin reveals that the last mirror shard is refusing to fit onto the rest of the mirror with Bigby theorizing that Bloody Mary had something to do with it due to her connections to the mirrors and due to the fact that she was the last person seen interacting with Crane or his coat where the shard was found. Eventually, Bufkin manages to fix the shard and complete the mirror with both Snow and Bigby using it to see what happened to Crane, quickly finding out that Crooked Man had Bloody Mary take him to the airport and send him to Paris, France where he is to remain until further notice before their vision is cut off by Mary's influence on the magic mirror. Afterwards, they use it to locate Crooked Man, witnessing as the door to his lair moves from an unknown location to a maintenance entrance below the bridge in Central Park. Bigby races there and gains access to the lair, finding the entrance manned by Tiny Tim, a Fable whose core characteristic of being perpetually sick or injured makes his life significantly harder and who is revealed to have expected Bigby's arrival. Despite Tim's non-intimidating physique and sickness leaving him unable to hurt him, Bigby decides to respect Tim's job and lets him escort him to Crooked Man himself despite urging him to leave as soon as he can, learning that Tim actually loves his job and considers Crooked Man a good person due to him not treating him like a broken charity case he was designed to be. Eventually, two reach the lair's main lounge where Tweedles, Jersey Devil, Georgie Porgie and Vivian are all present alongside Crooked Man who remains completely calm and carries himself in civilized manner towards Bigby, even offering him to sit down so that they can talk, an offer which Bigby accepts...
