Arrest made in University City area homicide

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead near an apartment complex in University City early Tuesday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said. A suspect has been accused of killing that man and attempting to kill someone else. CMPD responded to a 911 call to assist Medic at an apartment complex on Kirk Farm Lane, near the intersection of East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Old Concord Road, around 7 a.m. Investigators said a passerby found an unresponsive man near the parking lot of the complex and called for help.
