Wind Turbine CFD - AMI dynamic mesh approach in OpenFOAM

Dynamic mesh with sliding interfaces is an - expensive - alternative to the Actuator Line Model in order to simulate the flow around a wind turbine or, in general, a propeller. Here only the mesh motion is shown. Inner mesh is generated with SALOME, whereas outer mesh has been generated using snappyHexMesh. At the interface, the Arbitrary Mesh Interface (AMI) method is used in order to compute cell fluxes. Info: [email protected]
