Spelt flour fruit scones without dairy are a variation of last year's original 4 ingredient scone dairy-free recipe. This time to make them fruit scones I have added raisins (dates work well also) and a little cinnamon spice. To make them easier when baking I don't use rings I just cut them before baking in triangles. My easy Wholegrain Spelt Dates Scones vegan recipe is made using only a few ingredients. Wholemeal Spelt flour, baking powder, sugar, coconut milk, raisins and cinnamon. This spelt scones recipe is dairy-free and egg-free. I love the simplicity of this recipe. Also, it is a little healthy without butter. The texture of my wholemeal spelt scones is light and with a gentle crumb as all good scones should have. Or so I am told!
