What You Need for a Rabbit | & Budget Tips

DIY Pet Carrier:    • Easy DIY Cardboard Small Pet Carrier 🐰   DIY Paper Roll Toys:    • 5 DIY Paper Roll Toys Your Rabbit Wil...   This is my checklist for the basic things you will need before bringing your new rabbit friend home. There are other things rabbit owners purchase as well that aren't essential items like a cute bunny bed. Before getting a new bunny, be sure to research and read up on proper rabbit care. For example, what foods are safe to feed rabbits and what a healthy diet consists of (depending on the bunny's age, size, etc.). Hay will be the most important part of a rabbit's diet and will take up about 80% of their food intake. Hay keeps rabbit's digestive tracks moving as well as help wear down their teeth. Generally, young rabbits eat alfalfa hay and adults eat mostly timothy hay (you can also supplement other types of hay e.g. orchard). Rabbits are also prey animals so bonding with them will be very different than bonding with a dog or cat. With proper care and understanding, rabbits make excellent pets. They are very loving after you earn their trust, and they are just super awesome wonderful animals! DiDi says Always Be Hoppy!
