73 - Surah Al-Muzzammil | Mishary Rashid Alafasy | English Translation

A Makki Surah that was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad S.A.W in early period of Prophethood! The theme of the Surah suggests that it was early period as Allah is guiding His Messenger to recite Quran in half of the night or little less or little more! Prophet is being prepared to receive a heavy word that will come directly from His Lord and He should be patient over Makkan Pagans and their criticism! Allah then warns the Pagans to take heed from the story of Prophet Moses when he was sent to Pharoah and he denied him. Then how Allah took him and his army! Most Scholars think that last Ayah of the Surah was revealed in Madina and it curtails the command regarding tahajjud prayers from the initial section of this Surah! Allah by His grace and mercy, made ease for the Ummah of the Prophet and guided them to recite Quran whatever is easier for them!
