My dear friends, Prior to the destruction of the Temple, Jesus made it clear in earlier verses that his disciples must make investments in things that will last. False messiahs and world problems shouldn't disturb us. Maybe even more crucial for us to remember is what Jesus is putting out in these verses: if we persevere through personal adversity, we will be rescued! Prayer Thank you, God of Mercy and Hope, for giving me the courage to maintain my faith in the face of any external challenges. I pray that you will satisfy our necessities and console us with trust. We pray that your mercy and unending optimism may find a place in our hearts. For those who are being persecuted for their trust in you, we pray on behalf of people everywhere. Amen.
