Orange Jam Recipe 🍊🤍
Orange Jam Recipe 🍊🤍 📝 Ingredients: About 9 medium-sized organic oranges (for about 1 kg orange pulp and juice) (approx. 4–5 Cups) 1 organic orange (for zest) Juice of 1 organic lemon (approx. 1/4 cup) 500–600 g sugar (depending on the sweetness of the oranges) (approx. 2 1/2 to 3 Cups) 🤍 Preparation: 1. Peel the oranges, removing all the white pith. Cut along the membranes to release the segments, collecting any juice. Dice the segments. 2. Grate the zest of 1 organic orange and set it aside. Add the freshly squeezed lemon juice to the orange segments and mix well. 3. Combine the orange pulp, juice, sugar, and zest in a large pot. Mix thoroughly. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes to dissolve the sugar and enhance the flavors. 4. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil while stirring. Once it boils, reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 40–50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Mash the fruit slightly to achieve the desired consistency. 5. Test the marmalade by placing a small amount on a cold plate. If it sets within seconds, it’s ready. If needed, extend the cooking time slightly. 6. Fill the marmalade into sterilized jars and seal immediately to create a vacuum. Let the marmalade cool for at least 12–24 hours before opening, allowing the flavors and consistency to set. 🤍 Optional For a lighter, less dense marmalade, add 250ml (1 cup) of water per kilogram of fruit for a softer texture and milder flavor. For a festive touch, a cinnamon stick adds a warm spice note that complements the orange sweetness. Enjoy! 🥰🤍
