This is how to fill a raised garden bed Simple, easy and cheap way to fill your Raised garden bed is to add big logs at the bottom, followed by a lot of sticks branches , Make sure to step on them to flatten it out , Add dry grass, dry leaves, could even put down cardboard too , Add some home compost that's already breaking down. do not add a lot of compost or green grass clipping because then it will turn into a compost pile which will start releasing a lot of nitrogen which is the heat. could also burn your plants root. so be careful... remember this is a raised garden bed, not a compost pile . it's a big difference..
