Mark Breaks the Arm of Conquest?
In Invincible season 3's final montage, Battle Beast is seen, setting up his return after Allen and Nolan's prison break. A group of aliens finds Battle Beast, frozen and floating in space among the remains of the Viltrumite prison guard that he fought. They bring Battle Beast aboard the ship, with him thawing out and waking up. In the Invincible comics, Battle Beast is recruited by the Coalition of Planets to fight in the Viltrumite War, with his time in the prison proving that he is one of the few Invincible characters strong enough to kill a Viltrumite. Invincible season 3's main theme asks if people can change, with this being at the center of Mark and Cecil's ideological battle throughout the season. Cecil's collaboration with former killers like D.A. Sinclair and Darkwing shocks Mark, although Cecil says that these second chances are for the greater good. Meanwhile, Mark completely disagrees. Mark seems to think that these villains are forever tainted and incapable of growth, despite him forgiving his father for his season 1 crimes and himself for killing Angstrom Levy.
