MESSENGER OF CHRIST THE LORD (Hymn for the Feast Day of St. Luke the Evangelist – October 18)

We joyfully celebrate the Feast of St. Luke the Evangelist, the beloved physician, companion of St. Paul, and inspired author of the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles. Through his writings, St. Luke revealed the mercy, compassion, and saving love of Christ, especially for the poor, the outcast, and the sinner. As a healer of bodies and souls, St. Luke reminds us that the Good News is meant to bring hope, healing, and peace to all people. His faithful witness continues to inspire us to proclaim Christ with joy and to reflect His mercy in our daily lives. May St. Luke intercede for us, that we too may be bearers of God’s love and living witnesses of the Gospel. As we honor St. Luke the Evangelist, let us lift our hearts in song, celebrating his mission of spreading God’s Word and love.
