I am Rhiannon AKA the Active Autist and my journey began with a realisation: I couldn't remember the last time I was out of breath. Despite being active—owning horses, walking dogs, working outdoors—I noticed I wasn't pushing myself. That’s why I started going to the gym. Not to lose weight, but to make my body healthier. At first, it was just cardio. It was the only thing I felt comfortable with. But over time, as I gained physical and mental strength, I started exploring more, and now, 18 months later, I’ve fallen in love with the gym. It’s no longer a chore; it’s my sanctuary, a place that makes me feel as comfortable as slipping into bed on clean sheets day. Something incredible happened to me at the gym. As I worked out, I began to love the process—the sweating, the breathlessness, the shaky legs. The things that once scared me became the very things that drove me.
