UG taking a walk in Lal Bagh, Bangalore in 1990

UG had a kind of fascination for Lal Bagh garden in Bangalore. He was once recalling his early childhood days spent in Basavanagudi, near Shankaramutt. His grandfather had made Bangalore his summer resort those days and was staying for three months to escape the sweltering Andhra summers. UG, as a boy of 3 years to 7 years , loved to visit Lal Bagh every day almost. He would pester his grand parents to take him to the garden. Those days they had displayed a small Aero plane in the Glass House of the garden. UG was more attracted to look at the plane and imagine himself flying in the single seater plane. The friends who took him and his second daughter Usha on that day in January 1990, were Gopinath and Narendra. Julie recorded the event.
