#2 December 26, 2024 – The Mystery Cat Returns

The day after Christmas, my mystery visitor returned. It was an overcast but mild morning, and there he was—prancing in front of my house like he owned the place. He looked happy and healthy, but I still didn’t know if he had a home. When I saw him head toward my backyard, I decided it was time to leave some food out. Luckily, I had the perfect bowls—two small stainless steel dishes I had rescued months earlier from a park-and-ride where someone had abandoned a cat. I never found that cat, but now, I had a new visitor to care for. Was he the same one? Or just another wandering soul?
