Hardcore difficulty is unlockable after completing the game once. The guide will have all of the cut scenes edited out, will contain a full audio commentary, and will cover all of the gameplay content. This is not a 100% completion guide. When starting a new campaign on Hardcore mode, you retain all of your upgrades, and the lengths of your health and magic bars carry over as well, as does your characters' experience levels. I will be collecting any items I stumble upon in the course of my campaign; I will not be going out of my way to collect items or upgrades that require doubling back as a different character. The game is a very challenging one, and the new-game plus feature of it makes it slightly less difficult, but there are not tremendous advantages to carrying over your statistic and items. For, the damage you receive is hefty, and the enemies are more resilient to your attacks. Also, your character's "experience level" does not mean his weapon is stronger or weaker. The strength of the weapon is always the same. So without further ado, let us crush Hardcore mode! I hope you enjoy the guide!
