Coors Light Commercial #1 (2009)

Coors Light Commercial #1 (2009)

This is a commercial for Coors Light, a 4.2% alcohol by volume (ABV) light American lager that was first produced in 1978 by the Coors Brewing Company. This commercial takes place at a baseball game, which is a very traditional place for beer to be sold. This commercial highlights that the mountains on the can change color when the beer is cold enough. This is achieved using thermochromic ink, which reacts to temperature changes, specifically when the beer reaches an optimal drinking temperature around 42°F. When the beer is chilled to this temperature, the silver mountains on the packaging transition to a vibrant blue, indicating it's ready to drink. In the commercial, the spokesman calls it "cold insurance," though there is a disclaimer on screen that makes it clear that "There is no insurance policy for cold beer." Also, the guy who trying to order the beers gets hit in the head by a baseball, but he seems fine. "You might want to put something cold on that." And then there is a train racing through the snow. Cools Light is known as "The silver bullet" because of it's silver can, and the train was that same silver. And it looked cold (but was not blue). The baseball game would seem to be between the Oakland As and the New York Yankees, that is what the uniforms look like, but they can't really use those team names, so all the fans have merchandise that says "Comets" and something like "Seirals." This commercial was recorded on Tuesday, May 26th, 2009 on The Discovery Channel during a rerun episode of Deadliest Catch. "The world's most refreshing beer" YOU MIGHT WANT TO SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL
