Code on Wages, 2019 (August 2019), 2. Industrial Relations Code, 2020, 3. Code on Social Security, 2020, 4. Occupational Safety, Health & Working Conditions Code, 2020 (September 2020)• As of 13 December 2022, 31 States also have republished the draft rules under the Code on Wages, 28 States under Industrial Relations Code, 28 States under Code on Social Security, and 26 States under Occupational Safety Health and Working Conditions Code. Why Reforms? To tune labor laws with the changing labor market trends, present economic scenarios, technological advancements, and a reduction in the multiplicity of definitions and authorities. To accommodate the minimum wage requirement and welfare needs of the unorganized sector workers, including the self-employed and migrant workers, within the legislation framework. Ease compliance mechanism, promote ease of doing business/setting up of enterprises, and catalyze the creation of employment opportunities, while ensuring every worker's safety, health, and social security.
