Recently, the Union Home Ministry has issued a public notice to extend the validity of the registration of NGOs till 31 March 2022. However, the ministry has rejected the application for renewal of registration of 'Missionaries of Charity'. Due to which the role of the central government related to the regulation of NGOs became a topic of discussion. Many journalists criticised the central government's control over NGOs and said that this attitude of the central government is pointing towards the policy of 'One Nation One NGO'. 'One Nation One NGO' is also very special in terms of the Civil Services Examination.
