Hugelkultur Becomes ultra lush with a bit of water - still building soil

https://wheaton-labs.com/bootcamp In this latest update from Wheaton Labs, we dive deep into the culmination of our thrilling summer events! From the enlightening Permaculture Design Course to the hands-on Permaculture Technology Jamboree, and not forgetting the transformative SKIP (Skills to Inherit Property) program, it's been a season of growth, learning, and community. Join Paul as he embarks on a reflective walkabout, giving us a closer look at some of the experimental projects undertaken at the Labs. We take a look at the lush world of our hugelkultur raised bed garden. This year, we've been blessed with abundant water thanks to the new well, allowing us to give our gardens some extra hydration to fortify the soil. Now, at the end of July, our rhubarb and asparagus are thriving. Surprisingly, just three potato plants have dominated the space, hinting at possibly some volunteer plants from last year. Despite only beginning our watering routine about a week ago, the plants have responded enthusiastically. And as a fun twist to our garden update, we have a delightful infestation... of kittens! Stay tuned to spot them amidst the green.
