National Police present suspects accused of committing crimes in Masaya, Nicaragua

This morning, the National Police presented at a press conference the results of their fight against crime from Thursday, March 18th to March 24th of this year. 19 individuals accused of committing dangerous crimes in this department are now behind bars. There were 8 counts of robbery with intimidation, 1 count of robbery with force, 1 count of robbery with violence, 6 individuals accused of supplying drugs, and three counts of crimes against women. Among those arrested for drug trafficking are Yader Efrain Baca López and Walter Javier Rivera Blandón, captured in the municipality of Nindirí while traveling in a Suzuki with license plate number M 201519, seizing three kilos of cocaine, evidence of which was presented to the media. Drug Suppliers Ricardo Alberto Urbina, Felix Daniel Britton, Jezmir Calero Ortiz, and Keybi Elizabeth Martínez are accused of supplying narcotics in the city of Las Flores. Arrested for robbery with intimidation In the city of Masaya, several individuals were moving around different areas taking advantage of the night. According to details, they are Cristhian Giovanni Porras, Eyner Rodríguez, Dimas Antonio González, Ezequiel Daniel Miranda, Carlos Javier Gómez López, Javier Alexander Davila, José Armando López Díaz, and Willer Jerónimo Miranda Urbina. David Antonio Hernández Ortiz is being held for burglary, after a television was stolen. Paulo Wilfredo Hernández is being held for robbery with violence. Women for Peace and Good Campaign In the context of the campaign for women, three individuals have been arrested for threatening the lives, safety, and peace of mind of women. In San Juan de Oriente, Elieth Andrés Melendez Jiménez, Henry Antonio González Hernández, and Ivan Socorro Salgado were arrested, two of whom were accused of psychological violence, while Salgado was arrested for rape. On behalf of the Public Order, Commissioner General Luis Barrantes emphasized the commitment to continue the fight for peace among families, implementing operational plans in the streets, neighborhoods, and communities.
