Shark Week Faces Backlash for Using CGI Great White in Michael Phelps Race

They never said he'd go head-to-head with the real thing, but when viewers tuned in to see Michael Phelps race a great white shark, many were disappointed. Folks who watched the special saw the shark in one lane and Phelps in another, wearing a fin to mimic a shark's tail. In reality, they were never in the water together. Phelps lost the race to the simulated shark by two seconds. It was part of the Discovery Channel's Shark Week special, Phelps vs. Shark: Great Gold vs. Great White. #InsideEdition
