RCPS 2024 Support Staff of the Year Finalist Michelle Carter

Highland Park Elementary School Instructional Assistant Michelle Carter is Roanoke City Public Schools' 2nd Place finalist for the 2024 Support Staff of the Year. Ms. Carter is known throughout the Highland Park community for her dedication to ensuring students receive the services and support they need. She collaborates with teachers and staff to ensure students have their needed accommodations, helps review IEPs and create effective, user-friendly plans that are easily understood by all staff, serves as an All In tutor, and is an active member of her school’s Title I advisory group.
