In this Far Cry 3 Gameplay video, I show you how to complete the mission “New Rite of Passage” in Far Cry 3, where you have to face a giant monster in a hallucination. This mission is part of the main story, and it happens after you drink a special potion given by Citra, the leader of the Rakyat tribe. She tells you you must prove yourself as a warrior by killing the monster and taking its mask. The monster is a huge black creature with tentacles, claws, and a mask that covers its face. It lives in a dark and twisted version of the island, where everything is covered in ink and blood. The monster can attack you with its tentacles, claws, or breath, which can shoot fireballs or ink at you. You have to dodge its attacks and shoot at its mask, which is its weak point. You can use any weapon you have, but I recommend using a sniper rifle or a bow, as they are more accurate and powerful. The monster will stand still every three balls, which is your chance to take a shot at the mask. Once enough hits have landed, the monster will try one more breath attack, and it will be finished. Run up the arm and follow the QTEs until you kill it, then enjoy the cutscene as the mission ends 1. This mission is one of the most epic and memorable moments in the game, as it shows you the power and madness of the island.
