Eucharist for Christ the King - 22 November 2020
Canon Bruce Saunders leads our Sunday morning service for the Feast of Christ the King, assisted by Father André Hart. The readers are David McGregor and Sue Young, the preacher is Portia Chorlton, and the intercessions are led by Ruth Barsby. The Psalm is No 95 'If today you hear God’s voice' in a setting by David Ogden sung by Catherine Gardom and Annie Hyde. The opening hymn ‘Christ is the King’ is sung by Exultate Singers and the closing hymn is ‘Christ triumphant’ is sung the RSCM Millennium Youth Choir. The White Light setting of the Mass is sung by Clifton Cathedral Choir and Westbury on Trym Parish choir who also sing the anthem 'Let all the world in every corner sing' by Vaughan Williams. The recording is taken from their CD 'All times and Seasons'. The 'Lamb of God' is from the 'Missa Da Pacem' by David Ogden. The voluntary is 'Carillon de Westminster' by Louis Vierne performed by Richard Johnson. The organist is Richard Johnson and the parish church choir is conducted by David Ogden.
