THE UNCROWNED KING. | Bodybuilding Legend - Mike Mentzer Tribute
Mike Mentzer won the IFBB Mr. Universe in 1978 and came second in 1979 and fifth in 1980 at the Mr. Olympia, the most important competition in professional bodybuilding. Mike felt wronged by the judges in 1980 and was deeply saddened when he ended his career immediately after this competition. Together with his brother Raymond “Ray” Harry Mentzer (* August 2, 1953), Mike taught and marketed the bodybuilding training concept of High Intensity Training (HIT) based on the training concept of Arthur A. Jones, which is based on relatively few short training sessions that are carried out with maximum intensity. He has also published numerous publications on this topic, the best known of which is the book Heavy Duty. Mike Mentzer was one of the few and probably the best-known bodybuilder who preferred HIT to conventional volume training ATTENTION: Do not watch this video on a rest day or before going to sleep!
