신라의 미소, 얼굴무늬 수막새 l 온라인으로 떠나는 국립경주박물관 여행!

살짝 수줍은 듯 해사한 미소를 머금고 있는 얼굴, 신라의 미소라고도 불리는 얼굴무늬 수막새입니다 여러 곳에서 얼굴 모양의 기와가 출토되었지만 이렇게 완벽한 미소를 볼 수 있는 것은 이 수막새가 유일합니다 이 기와는 일제 강점기에 발굴되어 당시 경주에 거주하던 한 일본인 의사가 구매하여 소장하게 되었습니다 이후 소장자가 귀국하게 되면서 이 수막새도 같이 일본으로 반출되고 맙니다 다행히도 박일훈 국립박물관 경주분관장의 권유로 이 기와의 소장자가 직접 박물관에 기증하게 되었습니다 국립경주박물관에서 꼭 한 번은 봐야 할 '얼굴무늬 수막새'를 온라인으로 만나보세요!
