2023 10 29 Isaiah Mighty Seer in Days of Old

On Reformation Sunday, October 29, 2023, the congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs sang the liturgical music "Isaiah, Mighty Seer in Days of Old," hymn #960 in the Lutheran Service Book. This hymn is a versification of Isaiah's vision of heaven (Isaiah 6:1-4). Sabaoth (SAH-bay-oath) is Hebrew for "heavenly hosts." The text is by Martin Luther, 1483-1546, as translated in The Lutheran Hymnal, 1941. The tune is by Martin Luther as well.
