As we arrived, a heavy shower moved through, so you’ll notice rain and grey skies in the opening shots. Fortunately, the weather cleared quickly, helped along by strong, gusty winds. For Stansted standards, the traffic was excellent. The airport is often dominated by Ryanair, and it’s not unusual to wait hours without seeing much variety. However, during this two-hour visit, there was a strong mix of airlines and movements, making it a far more dynamic session than expected. The final clip — the arrival of the UAE Presidential Boeing 787 — was a complete stroke of luck. I spotted it on the horizon while walking back to the car, and it wasn’t appearing on Flightradar24 at all. A quick dash back into position allowed me to capture the arrival just in time; had I left a few minutes earlier, I would have missed it entirely.
