
Mind Blowing Double Smoked Keto Chili
No smoker, no problem! 2 alternate methods listed below recipe. Over Under Double Smoked Keto Chili 2kg 80/20 ground beef •250-300g (1 large) white onion, small diced •25g garlic (5-7 cloves) pressed 2 14.5oz/411g cans diced chili tomatoes(Aylmers) 2 cans (425g) tomato sauce • 2 cans fire-roasted tomatoes (Aylmers) 1 large green pepper 1 large Red pepper 2 poblano peppers 1 can tomato paste - Garlic 2 small cartons of concentrated beef stock – Campbells Dry ingredients Chili powder • (1/2c) Smoked Paprika •(1 1/2T) Ground cumin • (2t) Chili flakes • (4t) Hot sauce (I like Nandos) • (2T) Brown sugar •(2T) (optional, but worth it) Worcestershire sauce •(2T) cider vinegar • (2) Better than bouillon beef paste • (3t) Salt To taste (I usually do a light dusting, season as I go and leave it a bit light as my wife likes less salty than me, and I can just add salt to individual meals) Beef stock (as needed) Next time around, I would like to add a kg of Italian sausage to the mix! If you don't have a smoker you can still make this recipe in a slow cooker and add Liquid smoke (yes this is a real thing and many restaurants use it to infuse foods with smoky flavors). Start with 3 teaspoons for a 6qt slow cooker, and you'll also want to cut this recipe by about 1/2, maybe 1/3. Another alternative is using stainless steel "smoker boxes" you can get anywhere BBQs are sold. Soak some wood chips in water the night before, and get some surprisingly great smoky flavor for your chili. Is is AS good as a full sized smoker? No, BUT you might be pleasantly surprised with the results!
