C Mixolydian Mode C & Bb Open Position Triads Alternating on Strings 2345
Here's a neat little trick: you can use two major triads a whole step apart and beautifully outline the modes of the major scale. In this example, I'm using a triad built on the root of the mixolydian mode and a triad built on the bVII of the mode. C triad gives us chord tones 1, 3, and 5; Bb gives us chord tone b7 as well as tensions 9 and 11 of C mixolydian. Transcriptions for this and other videos are available on my Patreon page.
