Ep 14 Leaving Spain for Portugal | Solo Van Life Around Europe

Welcome to Portugal!! After travelling through Spain , it's time to cross another boarder as my solo European road trip continues into Portugal. I leave Spain behind and stop to explore an old bridge, flying the drone before taking a tiny road towards the Portuguese border. There are no big signs or dramatic border crossings here, just a quiet road, pigs, and a tiny stone.... but some very full reservoirs and suddenly I'm in another very beautiful country. I spend a couple of days at a campsite ( only my second of the road trip) while visiting the coast and one of the most famous tiny fishing communities near Lisbon. Then it's on to Lisbon, but only to take a nighttime drive over the huge bridge over the River Tagus. I also manage my final long training run of the trip... 16km - before rewarding myself with lunch at the Aquarium next door.... and become the aquarium entertainment for the fish. But the real highlight of these days, is when I sent off to find somewhere new to spend the night. I discover an incredible quiet lake where I can park up alone and will be my own space to really start to discover the new country. A special moment that makes this whole off grid trip in my micro camper so worth while.
