Belleville August 28 meeting complete
During the meeting held on August 28, 2023, it is evident that I can be seen, identified by wearing a red shirt, endeavored to address the Belleville City Council. Notably, there were other attendees situated towards the rear of the chamber. Deliberately, the proceedings were prematurely adjourned, evidently in an effort to conceal information I sought to present concerning the Council's alleged authority over PRIVATE PROPERTY even though at the start of the meeting they acknowledge the land as unseeded territory. Their acknowledgment of the historical existence of such territory predating the Crown's sovereignty over Canada underscores the validity of pre-existing land claims. Consequently, properties held under land patents or grants are exempt from taxation. It is evident, therefore, that the municipality is operating ultra vires, lacking legal authority in this regard. The municipality is devoid of legal entitlement to regulate any activities on private property, including but not limited to the imposition of bylaws or the parking of motor vehicles, pleasure craft, or trailers, provided they are functional or appear to be so. This situation is not restricted to Belleville but in fact applies to most property within Ontario and most certainly to land held under Land Patent.
